A consumer for Windows Event Tracing

Usage Guide

tracerpt is a Windows Event Tracing consumer that parses event trace logs, like those generated by tracelog to produce reports and data files. The command takes the name of an .etl file (-l) or a Real Time Event Trace Session (-rt) as its first parameter and accepts these parameters to control processing:

  • -config - Loads a settings file containing parameters
  • -y - Suppresses prompts and defaults all to yes
  • -f - Defines report format: XML or HTML
  • -of -Defines data file output format: CSV / EVTX / XML
  • -int - File name for interpreted event structure
  • -df -Creates a Microsoft counting / schema file
  • -rts - Report raw timestamp
  • -tp - TMF search file path
  • -tmf - Passes a Trace Message Format definition file
  • -i - Provider image path
  • -pdb - Symbol server path
  • -gmt - Converts WPP payload timestamps to GMT
  • -rl - Defines system report level: accepts a value from 1 to 5
  • -summary - Generates a summary report file in .txt format
  • -o -Generates a text format output file
  • -report - Generates a report file in text format.
  • -lr - Less Restrictive mode
  • -export - Generates an event schema export file
