Overview

replmon is a GUI tool that is used to view replication status, events and topology. The tool can also be used to initiate replication and recalculate replication topology.

Usage Guide

replmon is a GUI tool that is used to view replication status, events and topology. The tool can also be used to initiate replication and recalculate replication topology.

replmon performs the following tasks:

  • Detect replication partner failure.
  • Display replication history, including successful and failed events.
  • Display properties of replication partners.
  • Display perfmon data and registry settings on a server.
  • Run replication status reports.
  • Display replication topology.
  • Force replication.
  • Recalculate replication topology.
  • Display changes awaiting replication.
  • Display trusts on a monitored domain dontroller.
  • Display an active directory object's metadata.
  • Monitor replication status of domain controllers from multiple forests.
  • Display domain controllers holding operations master and global catalog roles.

    replmon has been replaced by repadmin in Windows 2008 and later, but will still function on Windows 2008 machines.
