Overview

Lists service details and starts, stops pauses and resumes services

Usage Guide

When run without parameters, PsService provides this kind of information for each service on the system:
SERVICE_NAME: WebClient
DISPLAY_NAME: WebClient
Enables Windows-based programs to create, access, and modify Internet-based files.If this service is stopped, these functions will not be available. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.
GROUP : NetworkProvider
TYPE : 20 WIN32_SHARE_PROCESS
STATE : 4 RUNNING (STOPPABLE,NOT_PAUSABLE,ACCEPTS_SHUTDOWN)
WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
CHECKPOINT : 0x0
WAIT_HINT : 0 ms

The command supports these parameters:

  • query - Returns status of a service
  • config - Display service configuration
  • setconfig - Sets start type (disabled, automatic, manual)
  • start - Start service
  • stop - Stop service
  • restart - Restart service
  • pause - Pause service
  • cont - Resume service
  • find - Find a service
  • depend - List dependencies
  • security - Display security descriptor
