netdiag (Network Diagnostics Tool) is included with Windows 2000 and 2003 support tools. It is depricated in Windows 2008. Netdiag runs a suite of tests on the IP stack and TCP/IP services to determine the root cause of network problems.
netdiag executes a series of network tests to help trace network problems. Run without parameters, it executes all tests on all network interfaces. Specific network tests can be selected with the /test parameter and specific tests can be excluded via the /skip parameter. Output can be written to a netdiag.log file via the /l parameter. The file is saved in the current directory.
