Prepares system partitions to support BitLocker. BitLocker is Microsoft's full drive encryption functionality supported in Windows Vista, 2008, 2008 R2 and 7

Usage Guide

BitLocker requires two partitions to operate and this tool creates an additional partition on the system partition. The new partition becomes the system drive from which the machine boots and the remaining partition is encrypted when BitLocker is set-up. bdehdcfg copies the boot files to the new partition and makes it the active partition.

bdehdcfg is redundant on Windows 7 as BitLocker setup performs the preparation automatically.
